Snow Boarding

Mount Hutt has some impressive snowboarding areas, with a huge half pipe to wipe out on, as well as jumps and some great slopes to chill out on and practise your new moves. Hire facilities are available.

Mount Hutt is about an hour from our lodge in Christchurch. It has snowmaking facilities and makes a great day out.

Mount Hutt Ski field covers 365 hectares of boardable and skiable terrain. Facilities include a large chalet with café, and hire. Beginners' slopes have magic carpets. Other slopes go from easy up to advanced, with two large chair lifts as well as poma lifts and T-bar lifts. Instruction is available for groups or on an individual basis.
