Hot Air Ballooning

One way to take in the scenery of the beautiful Canterbury plains, while staying with us is to take to the air in a hot air balloon! These trips take off in the early morning just a short trip away from our private bed and breakfast in Christchurch.

Ballooning is heavily weather dependent and so it can't be guaranteed that you will get up in the air every time. The fantastic views do, however, make the early morning start well worthwhile. Book early for best results.

To the East you see the Pacific Ocean. To the West you have the spectacular Southern Alps. These stretch far away to the north and south. Weather permitting, you can even get a great view of Stoneleigh Lodge.
